I did a lot a research on accessories for my 13" MacBook Air, and still believe that the iPearl mCover Hard-Shell Cover Case has been my best accessory investment to date. It gives me total peace of mind from the scrapes and scratches of everyday use (including putting in/taking out of a Speck sleeve - which has flexed and now accepts the Air without issues, see my other review). Also, the foldable "feet" built into this hard-shell case are a huge benefit to keep the Air from warming up/running the fan all of the time. Several people have complimented about that feature alone (which should be taken as kudos to iPearl's overall design, as few notice the rest of the shell due to its perfect fit). I haven't had/used my iPearl long enough to comment on other user's concerns about micro-cracks forming at the corners, but at this price-point (at least compared to the laptop), I'd be willing to buy a new one each year for the benefits that it brings.

The mCover Hard Shell Cover Case for the new Macbook Air (released late in 2010) is one of the first hard shell covers made specifically for the new Air, and despite the company's reputation I had some trepidation about buying it before it was reviewed by experienced Mac product experts. But I have to say that it's everything I want in a cover/protector for the new Air: it fits snugly and goes on with virtually no effort. It snaps on in a way that makes it almost impossible to scratch the computer. It has retractable legs that allow you to position the computer at different angles. I bought the clear model, and it's pretty much invisible. I've had it for 10 days or so now and I can only find good things to say about it. Whew!

Really like this cover for my MBA. I am pretty tough on my laptops - just put them in a tote without a sleeve. I thought this cover that stayed attached would be a great addition yet not add bulk or weight. It has exceeded my expectations. I also like the riser feet on the base.
